Giant Rabbit works with some amazing organizations, from one-woman nonprofits to international NGOs. We've served over 250 clients around the world, working in a wide variety of sectors including human rights, social justice, environmental stewardship, LGBT equality, education, animal welfare, the arts, and more.

18 Reasons is building a healthy community of cooks, gardeners, and eaters of all ages by offering cooking and nutrition classes in San Francisco. We built their site using Drupal Commerce to power their class registrations and CiviCRM to track their memberships. 

ACCESS helps make access to reproductive health services a reality for California women who are facing barriers to care. We provide security updates and support for their Drupal site. We're proud to have provided continuous support for ACCESS since our very first year in business (2006). 

The ACLU of Northern California is the largest national branch of the American Civil Liberties Union. We helped them build out a Drupal site for one of their campaigns focused on consumer's online privacy. 

ACE's mission is to educate high school students on the science behind climate change and inspire them to take action to curb global warming. We built ACE's site in Drupal (along the way using Formstack to send data to Salesforce), and we're providing ongoing support while we work with them to add new features like their Our Climate Our Future campaign.

The American Prairie Reserve works to create and manage a prairie-based wildlife reserve that protects a unique natural habitat, provides lasting economic benefits and improves public access to and enjoyment of the prairie landscape. We architected, designed, and built the site, launched in March of 2016, and we're providing ongoing support and development. We also cut together the introductory video on their new home page.

Americans for Nonsmokers' Rights fights the tobacco industry at all levels of government to protect nonsmokers from exposure to secondhand smoke and prevent tobacco addiction among youth. We're working with them to rethink their web properties and re-architect, re-design and re-build their online presence to better support their ongoing work to defend public health. We recently launched their new 501(c)4 site, Americans for Nonsmokers' Rights, which provides a platform for their continued advocacy to protect nonsmokers in multi-unit housing, casinos, and other hotspots of second-hand smoke exposure nationwide. 

BACT inspires children of all backgrounds and their families by creating dynamic, imaginative, and high-quality theatre for young audiences.  We work with BACT to support and contribute to the development of their assigned-seat selection tool that connects with CiviCRM.

The Ben's Bells Project was founded out of a family's gratitude for community support during a time of need. Its mission is to promote intentional kindness and to empower individuals to strengthen relationships and communities through mindfulness and compassion. We provide ongoing maintenance, training, and support for Ben's Bells' Drupal / CiviCRM instance.

Breakthrough Collaborative works to increase academic opportunity for highly motivated, underserved students and put them on the trajectory of a successful college path, while at the same time inspiring and developing the next generation of teachers and educational leaders. We're in the process of working with Breakthrough Collaborative to plan a new web site for their national organization. 

The Center for Ecoliteracy advances ecological education in K–12 schools, helping students to understand how nature sustains life and how to live accordingly. We deployed CiviCRM for the Center, and provide ongoing support and maintenance. 

CSE is a nonprofit organization dedicated to creating change for a clean energy future. They offer practical information about energy efficiency, renewable energy, clean transportation, and incentive programs and help promote sustainable policies and developing technologies. We provide ongoing Drupal support and maintenance for CSE's Drupal sites. 

CompassPoint has been building capacity in nonprofit organizations for over 35 years through teaching, coaching, consulting, and the facilitation of peer learning. We recently architected, designed and built a new modular web site for them, along with an updated class registration system. We also have worked with them for the past few years to produce online annual reports (see herehere, here, and here). 

Creative Commons is a nonprofit organization that enables the sharing and use of creativity and knowledge through free legal tools. They provide free copyright licenses to give creative people simple, standard ways to grant permission to the public to share and use their work. We provided support for Creative Commons' Development department by setting up custom integrations between their website and their CiviCRM instance. 

The Cutaneous Lymphoma Foundation offers hope to people with cutaneous lymphoma by promoting awareness and education, advancing patient care, and facilitating research. We worked with CLF on a strategy to move from their old site, which didn't speak to the needs of their users, to their new site, which guides users facing cutaneous lymphoma to a message of hope through clear, medically authoritative resources. We also provide ongoing support and maintenance for their Drupal-based site and its connection to Salesforce. 

The Ecology Center works to build a sustainable and healthy future for the East Bay, California, and beyond. They are environmental advocates and educators working to transform ideals of sustainability into everyday practice. They support and operate farmer's markets, lead classes, promote food justice, and operate Berkeley's curbside recycling program. We provide ongoing support and development for their family of WordPress sites, and we are working with them to implement Salesforce as their CRM. 

EcoMod is the world’s leading research, advisory, and educational not-for-profit network that promotes advanced modeling and statistical techniques in economic policy and decision-making. We provide ongoing maintenance, support and troubleshooting for Ecomod's Drupal-based site and registration system.

The mission of the Edible Schoolyard Project is to build and share a national edible education curriculum for pre-kindergarten through high school. They support the creation, growth, and enrichment of the edible education field. The website maps the movement and enables educators and volunteers from thousands of programs across the country and around the world to exchange ideas and best practices. We provide ongoing Drupal maintenance, support, troubleshooting and feature development, as well as CiviCRM support and training for their operations team. 

The Electronic Frontier Foundation is the leading nonprofit organization defending civil liberties in the digital world. We provided their in-house development team with CiviCRM support and development services. 

eLock Technologies promotes green transit by providing secure, automated bike parking systems at mass transit hubs from San Francisco to Seattle to Washington DC and beyond. We provide ongoing Ruby on Rails development services to power their web site that allows users to buy and add value to bike parking cards; we also work on specialized software to power their bike lockers and multi-bike kiosks around the country. 

Exhale provides services, training, and education to empower individuals, families, and communities to achieve post-abortion health and wellbeing. We provide ongoing Drupal development, maintenance and support. 

Front Line Defenders provides fast and effective action to help protect human rights defenders at risk so they can continue their work as key agents of social change in communities around the world. We rearchitected, redesigned, and rebuilt their website in Drupal, launching in February of 2016, providing tools to translate the site into eight different languages so far. We are currently providing continued feature development and support. 

Greater Good Science Center sponsors research into the science behind a meaningful life. By sharing scientific discoveries in psychology, sociology, and neuroscience with the public, GGSC aims to make us a more informed, happier, and more compassionate society. We worked with Greater Good to design their HTML newsletter, a key driver of traffic to their site. 

The Helping Hands Foundation is a supportive network of families with children with upper limb loss. By sharing experiences and supplying information to parents, affected children, and their siblings, Helping Hands gives hope, encouragement, and ideas to those affected and their loved ones. We provide Helping Hands with ongoing Drupal and CiviCRM support, development and maintenance. 

HowlRound is a performing arts knowledge commons--an online platform for theatremakers worldwide that amplifies progressive, disruptive ideas about the art form and facilitates connection between diverse practitioners. We're working with HowlRound to rearchitect and redesign their flagship website to provide their community with new ways to engage and collaborate. 

Ignited, formerly Industry Initiatives for Science and Math Education (IISME), promotes a partnership between industry and the education system by placing qualified math and science teachers in high-performance summer work projects that provide income, practical experience, laboratory skills, and access to a broader professional community. We developed an elaborate candidate-matching system whereby program candidates complete an extensive profile that then proceeds through a set of automated and manual steps to be paired with a sponsor organization. The system made heavy use of Drupal Rules to automate and streamline the process. We also provide ongoing development, maintenance and support. 

The Internet Archive provides free public access to collections of digitized materials, including websites, software, music, moving images, and nearly three million public-domain books. The Archive also advocates for a free and open Internet. They created and maintain the Wayback Machine.  We provided consulting to assist with their adoption of CiviCRM to power their fundraising. 

The Leave No Trace Center for Outdoor Ethics teaches people of all ages how to enjoy the outdoors responsibly. Through relevant and targeted education, research, and outreach, the Center ensures the long-term health of the natural world. We provide ongoing development, support and maintenance for their Drupal and CiviCRM installation. 

Litquake is the largest independent literary festival on the West Coast.  It continues its mission as a nine-day literary spectacle for booklovers, complete with cutting-edge panel discussions, unique cross-media events, and hundreds of readings in San Francisco. We architected, designed and built their Drupal-powered site, including a modular home page they can easily change to promote different events throughout the year. Their site includes a powerful events database, offering hundreds of events in a myriad of different categories and locations throughout the year. 

MADRE is an international women's human rights organization that partners with community-based women's groups worldwide to provide basic needs for food, clean water, health care and more for communities facing war and disaster. MADRE works to advance women’s human rights by meeting urgent needs in communities and building lasting solutions to the crises women face. We rearchitected and redesigned their site, implementing a modular Drupal site that launched in March of 2016. We are currently providing ongoing maintenance, support, and development. 

MapLight reveals money’s influence on politics. They research and compile data about the sources of campaign contributions in U.S. presidential, congressional, state, and local ballot and candidate elections and provide transparency tools for journalists and citizens. We provide ongoing CiviCRM consutling, maintenance and support. 

Sam Misner and Megan Smith are a musicical duo who tour their own brand of neo-folk music both at home and abroad. We helped them put together a Squarespace site.

The National Center for Employee Ownership (NCEO) provides practical resources and reliable information on employee stock ownership plans (ESOPs), equity compensation plans, and ownership culture. We are working with NCEO to plan and develop a Drupal Commerce-based data system to replace their current elaborately hand-rolled PHP site and store. 

The National Network of Abortion Funds works to make sure that abortions are safe, legal and accessible to all. They support a network of local grassroots abortion funds that help women overcome obstacles that might otherwise prevent them from getting access to abortion care. We're working with NNAF as strategic consultants to help them evaluate, select and implement software to support their fundraising and data infrastructure. 

The PRC provides assistance to those responsible for adult and juvenile prisons and jails as well as inmates and their families in their efforts to eliminate sexual abuse in confinement. They serve as a repository for the best research in the field on trends, prevention, response strategies, and best practices in corrections. Giant Rabbit worked with PRC to migrate their current site (an extensive library of resources) from Drupal 6 to Drupal 8; we now provide ongoing support, maintenance and feature development. 

OASIS (the Organization for the Advancement of Structured Information Standards) is a nonprofit consortium driving the development and adoption of open technology standards. They produce worldwide standards for security, Internet of Things, cloud computing, emergency management, and other areas. The OASIS consortium has more than 5,000 participants in more than 65 countries.  We are working with OASIS to develop a Drupal/CiviCRM site to manage their membership information and integrate with Kavi Workspace, where OASIS standards are developed.

Putah Creek Council works to protect the Putah Creek watershed through advocacy, outreach, and community stewardship. We provide ongoing Drupal and CiviCRM support, maintenance and development. 

RedRover's core staff organize a vast national network of volunteers to bring animals out of crisis and into caring homes. They perform mass rescues of animals during natural disasters or in cases of animal cruelty, as well as providing outreach and services to individual pet owners in need of support. We provide ongoing support and maintenance for their RedRover.org site, and we designed and built their Safe Place for Pets site that helps victims of domestic violence find shelter for their pets as well as themselves when they escape from an abusive home. 

The San Francisco Center for the Book fosters the joy of books and bookmaking. They provide both a home for Bay Area book artists and a place where the wider community can discover book arts. They offer over 300 workshops annually, along with exhibitions, free public programs, and other community events. We're working with SFCB to make incremental enhancements to their Drupal/CiviCRM site, while providing ongoing maintenance, training and support. 

SIRIUS is the original puppy school, offering training courses to cultivate pups into safe and stellar dogs--through training that is effective, fun, and inclusive of the whole family.  James and Kenneth Publishers is their online store. We designed their Drupal site (look at the puppies! thanks, illustrator R. Black). 

SMART provides financially disadvantaged middle-school students with educational opportunities and support services to foster personal and professional success in high school, college, and beyond. We provide them with ongoing Drupal support and maintenance. 

SMPTE is the leading technical society for the motion picture industry; they have been working since 1916 to provide international standards to guide the field of motion imaging. We helped them restore and rebuild their Drupal and CiviCRM instances, and have provided ongoing development, support and maintenance ever since. We recently brought their membership sales, library subscriptions, merchandise and donations into one unified Drupal Commerce store. We also developed integrations with both their digital standards library at IEEE and the Kavi Workspace

The Tor software platform provides additional layers of privacy for people when they are using the internet. They help users circumvent censorship by allowing them to reach otherwise blocked destinations or content. We designed and built a custom donation page for their year-end fundraising campaign, integrating it with CiviCRM so they could manage their campaign communications and fulfillment of their donation perks. We're also providing fundraising strategy and helping to direct their year-end fundraising communications and supporting technology. 

TrackYourHours provides a simple online platform for Marriage and Family Therapist, LPCC and LCSW candidates to log their clinical experience hours required for state licensure. We provide ongoing PHP development services to enhance the service and keep it up-to-date with rapidly changing regulations. We also provide support for TrackYouHours customer service--TrackYourHours goes out of their way to help users who have accidentally deleted, overwritten, or otherwise messed up their critical hours data, which means we write custom SQL queries to pull data from backups and manually restore the accounts of distressed users.  

TRWC brings the community "Together for the Truckee" to protect, enhance, and restore the Truckee River watershed. We provide ongoing strategic consulting, development and implementation services to help TRWC leverage CiviCRM to track and manage their work. 

The Trust for Public Land creates parks and protects land for people, ensuring healthy, livable communities for generations to come. We provide ongoing development and support for their main Drupal site and their forms that use the Convio/Luminate API to process donations and collect constituent information. We built their Ourland social campaign, collecting photos and statements and providing easy pathways to share them on social media, as well as internal workflows to review, approve and post them. We have worked with them to build modular tools to create engaging online stories; their Survive and Thrive: Climate Smart Cities was the first. We assembled that page with modular tools that TPL then went on to use to build their 2015 Annual Report and other pages to show their impact. We also designed and built a microsite to promote their 10 Minute Walk campaign, encouraging cities to pledge to provide a park within a ten-minute walk of every resident. 

Unbound Philanthropy is a private grantmaking foundation dedicated to ensuring that migrants, refugees, and their families can ultimately thrive in a society that is comfortable with the diversity and opportunity that immigration brings. We rearchitected and redesigned a modular Drupal site that launched in early 2015, and we currently provide ongoing support and maintenance. 

USENIX fosters technical innovation in a community of engineers, system administrators, scientists, and technicians working on cutting-edge technologies with an emphasis on security, internet technology, and mobile computing. We provide ongoing development and support for their massive Drupal site and vast library of archived conference materials. 

The Wikimedia Foundation operates some of the largest collaboratively edited reference projects in the world, including Wikipedia, one of the top ten most-visited sites on the web. We provide ongoing CiviCRM consulting and support. 

Worldwide Opportunities on Organic Farms is a cultural and educational exchange program that supports and expands the organic farm movement by connecting volunteers from around the world with organic farms in the United States. We provide ongoing support and development for WWOOF's heavily-customized WordPress site. 

The Y & H Soda Foundation is a grantmaker that works to build economic security, support community organizing and nonprofit sector development in Alameda and Contra Costa Counties. We helped the Soda Foundation choose the right platform for their web needs (Squarespace). We then rearchitected, designed and built their new look, which shines a spotlight on their grantees.
