Project Technology: CiviCRM

CiviCRM is an open-source CRM by and for non-profits. It provides a broad range of features allowing organizations to keep track of their interactions with their constituents, segment and send mailings, accept donations, manage memberships, sell tickets to events, and more. Giant Rabbit is proud to be a Founding Partner of CiviCRM. We provide a full range of services, from initial strategy and planning to data migration to implementation, training, feature development, support, and maintenance. 

Giant Rabbit provides CiviCRM support or development services for the following clients:

18 Reasons is building a healthy community of cooks, gardeners, and eaters of all ages by offering cooking and nutrition classes in San Francisco. We built their site using Drupal Commerce to power their class registrations and CiviCRM to track their memberships. 

BACT inspires children of all backgrounds and their families by creating dynamic, imaginative, and high-quality theatre for young audiences.  We work with BACT to support and contribute to the development of their assigned-seat selection tool that connects with CiviCRM.

The Ben's Bells Project was founded out of a family's gratitude for community support during a time of need. Its mission is to promote intentional kindness and to empower individuals to strengthen relationships and communities through mindfulness and compassion. We provide ongoing maintenance, training, and support for Ben's Bells' Drupal / CiviCRM instance.

The Center for Ecoliteracy advances ecological education in K–12 schools, helping students to understand how nature sustains life and how to live accordingly. We deployed CiviCRM for the Center, and provide ongoing support and maintenance. 

CompassPoint has been building capacity in nonprofit organizations for over 35 years through teaching, coaching, consulting, and the facilitation of peer learning. We recently architected, designed and built a new modular web site for them, along with an updated class registration system. We also have worked with them for the past few years to produce online annual reports (see herehere, here, and here). 

Creative Commons is a nonprofit organization that enables the sharing and use of creativity and knowledge through free legal tools. They provide free copyright licenses to give creative people simple, standard ways to grant permission to the public to share and use their work. We provided support for Creative Commons' Development department by setting up custom integrations between their website and their CiviCRM instance. 

The mission of the Edible Schoolyard Project is to build and share a national edible education curriculum for pre-kindergarten through high school. They support the creation, growth, and enrichment of the edible education field. The website maps the movement and enables educators and volunteers from thousands of programs across the country and around the world to exchange ideas and best practices. We provide ongoing Drupal maintenance, support, troubleshooting and feature development, as well as CiviCRM support and training for their operations team. 

The Electronic Frontier Foundation is the leading nonprofit organization defending civil liberties in the digital world. We provided their in-house development team with CiviCRM support and development services. 

The Helping Hands Foundation is a supportive network of families with children with upper limb loss. By sharing experiences and supplying information to parents, affected children, and their siblings, Helping Hands gives hope, encouragement, and ideas to those affected and their loved ones. We provide Helping Hands with ongoing Drupal and CiviCRM support, development and maintenance. 

Ignited, formerly Industry Initiatives for Science and Math Education (IISME), promotes a partnership between industry and the education system by placing qualified math and science teachers in high-performance summer work projects that provide income, practical experience, laboratory skills, and access to a broader professional community. We developed an elaborate candidate-matching system whereby program candidates complete an extensive profile that then proceeds through a set of automated and manual steps to be paired with a sponsor organization. The system made heavy use of Drupal Rules to automate and streamline the process. We also provide ongoing development, maintenance and support. 

The Internet Archive provides free public access to collections of digitized materials, including websites, software, music, moving images, and nearly three million public-domain books. The Archive also advocates for a free and open Internet. They created and maintain the Wayback Machine.  We provided consulting to assist with their adoption of CiviCRM to power their fundraising. 

The Leave No Trace Center for Outdoor Ethics teaches people of all ages how to enjoy the outdoors responsibly. Through relevant and targeted education, research, and outreach, the Center ensures the long-term health of the natural world. We provide ongoing development, support and maintenance for their Drupal and CiviCRM installation. 

MapLight reveals money’s influence on politics. They research and compile data about the sources of campaign contributions in U.S. presidential, congressional, state, and local ballot and candidate elections and provide transparency tools for journalists and citizens. We provide ongoing CiviCRM consutling, maintenance and support. 

OASIS (the Organization for the Advancement of Structured Information Standards) is a nonprofit consortium driving the development and adoption of open technology standards. They produce worldwide standards for security, Internet of Things, cloud computing, emergency management, and other areas. The OASIS consortium has more than 5,000 participants in more than 65 countries.  We are working with OASIS to develop a Drupal/CiviCRM site to manage their membership information and integrate with Kavi Workspace, where OASIS standards are developed.

Putah Creek Council works to protect the Putah Creek watershed through advocacy, outreach, and community stewardship. We provide ongoing Drupal and CiviCRM support, maintenance and development. 

The San Francisco Center for the Book fosters the joy of books and bookmaking. They provide both a home for Bay Area book artists and a place where the wider community can discover book arts. They offer over 300 workshops annually, along with exhibitions, free public programs, and other community events. We're working with SFCB to make incremental enhancements to their Drupal/CiviCRM site, while providing ongoing maintenance, training and support. 

SMPTE is the leading technical society for the motion picture industry; they have been working since 1916 to provide international standards to guide the field of motion imaging. We helped them restore and rebuild their Drupal and CiviCRM instances, and have provided ongoing development, support and maintenance ever since. We recently brought their membership sales, library subscriptions, merchandise and donations into one unified Drupal Commerce store. We also developed integrations with both their digital standards library at IEEE and the Kavi Workspace

The Tor software platform provides additional layers of privacy for people when they are using the internet. They help users circumvent censorship by allowing them to reach otherwise blocked destinations or content. We designed and built a custom donation page for their year-end fundraising campaign, integrating it with CiviCRM so they could manage their campaign communications and fulfillment of their donation perks. We're also providing fundraising strategy and helping to direct their year-end fundraising communications and supporting technology. 

TRWC brings the community "Together for the Truckee" to protect, enhance, and restore the Truckee River watershed. We provide ongoing strategic consulting, development and implementation services to help TRWC leverage CiviCRM to track and manage their work. 

The Wikimedia Foundation operates some of the largest collaboratively edited reference projects in the world, including Wikipedia, one of the top ten most-visited sites on the web. We provide ongoing CiviCRM consulting and support.
